1. Face of an African woman
Expressing their beauty, the strength of the colours they wear, and their harmony. They use warm colours and combine them with each other to express their views and reflect the darkness of their colour.
2-3. During the ‘Belonging’ Project, the music group Nabra commissioned and briefed BRAC to produce the artwork for their new CD album with the Ligeti String Quartet. I made several designs for Nabra to choose between, then worked the selected piece by computer to fit the square CD cover and the disk shape of the CD itself. This painting, full of Sudanese civilization, reflects the beauty of art and the language of Oud, a musical instrument with a very long history and belonging. The man who wears the traditional cloth and the sunlight bring hope for a better future. The pyramids and migratory birds reflect that the songs and music Nabra's use come from this background.
4. Ink print
5. African woman.
Members of BRAC group and UWE were united to make one collective work that expresses us, which is the dress of an African girl. It was divided into four parts. Each of us took a piece, drew it and designed it according to her/his taste, and gathered all these pieces together again.
6. I love horses so that's why I draw this because of link between the horses and the music :
Horses, especially Arabs, love music and sing for it. In concerts and parades, their riders sway to the tunes of drums, flutes and other instruments of rap.
Purebred Arabian horses are loyal to their owners, especially if they are the ones who raise and train them themselves.
Loyalty, courage, patience and intelligence. All of these are characteristics of a horse, so I love it.
7. So many techniques: drawing, , print on fabric, all sewed together. The background is a traditional fabric used in the wedding called "Garmases".
8. A woman strength comes from the love.
