My name is Simone Marconi, I’ve just finished the Art and Design foundation year, and I'm from Recanati (Italy). My course of study will be Fine Art, but I feel quite open to experiment, try, and continue creating through the use of any media and support, especially those that are non-conventional such as what is taught as waste materials to then promote wider themes such as recycling. I am passionate about activism and fascinated by underground movements, urban randomness, non-conventional ways of expression, and human rights, probably the result of a whole life spent on fighting for rights and freedom of expression through arts promotion and staging strikes.
About the project:
Belonging to me is a thing that will always let you feel part of something; it can be a thought, a group of people, as well as language, or a point of view. I think that belongings are able to shape your devotion as well as your personality, and the causes you care about, this is why we are so attached to them; our belongings have formed and carved our lives, influenced our behaviours, and actions, and finally helped us to make difficult decisions. The importance to preserve them is to never be disinterested or indifferent so that we can be helped not to get lost in life.
