“ Belonging, Exploring Cultural Identity”
Aims:
The project began this February and completed in June 2021. We met weekly during the project, initially online due to covid restrictions, then in the Foundation studios in Bower Ashton Site, UWE Bristol. The group chose the theme "Belonging" and produced artwork about this. Group discussions and sharing ideas and feelings about "Belonging" was a major part of the process, as you can see in the Padlet below. ' |
SHARING OUR THOUGHTS AND IDEAS
During the whole project the artists were able to share their thoughts and ideas with everyone into this shared padlet allowing the group to comment and give constructive feedback to each other
You can move the columns up and down and sideways in the padlet to view comments from the group.
NABRA PLAYS TRADITIONAL MUSIC FROM SUDAN
During the process of our project we collaborated with the professional group "Nabra" with the help of some of the BRAC artists produced the visual art for the cover of their next album, which they are currently working on! They joined our first day in the Bower Ashton Studio and played traditional Sudanese music and discussed 'Belonging' with us.
